Did You Know?

The discipline we now know as Synchronized Skating was originally called "Precision Skating." This initial name was coined in when the first team, the 'Hockettes,' was formed to entertain crowds during hockey intermissions. The term perfectly captured the sport's foundational requirement: maintaining intricate, exact formations and perfectly timed movements across the entire team.
